The Fanfare rug draws inspiration from a 1930s fabric in the Museum’s textile collection. Bold, geometric forms encapsulated the complex, modern sensibilities of the early 20th century. The vibrant, angular shapes of Fanfare evoke the mood of Art Deco interiors with their statement design. The 1920s and 30s were an extraordinary blend of tradition and progress. Decorative elegance and exquisite craftsmanship were combined with a lively eclecticism that was reflected in architecture, fashion, film and cocktail bars. Drawing on an original 1930s textile, this striking rug captures the Art Deco spirit. Hand loomed in Turkey, this soft touch acrylic rug showcases the rich colour and design.
